Halloween Houses of Downtown Charleston 🎃

One thing I love about downtown Charleston is how festive and elaborate the houses are decorated during the holidays.

Last week, my friends and I decided to take a walk through the French Quarter & South of Broad neighbors, and we found so many cute decorations up! I thought it would be fun to make a little guide based on where we (randomly) walked - so today’s post is just that!

First, we decided to test fate and try to find street parking down by the battery. Shockingly, we found parking on atlantic street and then walked around the block through church street, east bay street, and water street.

We then headed north on meeting street and up to tradd street, where there were super cute decorations up on the second floor balconies!

Since we went after work, we only had so much sunlight, so our walk was definitely a shorter one! But still with limited time, I felt like we saw a lot and definitely got in the Halloween spirit 🕸️

Getting home was delayed by, believe it or not, a massive truck filled with pumpkins that got overturned by a tree (yes, really)! This caused a big backup, so to wait out that traffic, we decided to grab a drink at a nearby speakeasy - Bar Vauté. It was the perfect way to end our walk and bonus points for an impromptu little nightcap🍸
