What’s the Rush?

For as long as I can remember, I’ve noticed that I tend to make a habit of putting a ton of rigid expectations on myself. I almost have this toxic productivity mindset with myself that in my day-to-day life, I “have to” get a certain amount of things done or accomplished each day to have a “good” or “productive” day (so so false btw).

While yes, setting goals is great, rest is also great and just as important. I think it almost takes away from those goals to be so hard on myself all the time. Sometimes there’s moments I feel myself feeling guilty for taking time to reset and relax…which is WILD since nobody but myself is telling me I “have to” do these things!

I’ve mentioned before that being more intentional with down time has always been a struggle of mine, but this winter, as silly as it might sound, I’m trying to make it a priority to let myself rest and relax more each day! After all, what’s the rush!
