The Nutcracker🩰

The past few years, I’ve made it a point to go see The Nutcracker ballet. It’s never something I was a physically in while growing up dancing (ballet and I were not friends lol), but each year I go, I’m reminded why I love dance in general so much.

I’ve always admired the look of effortlessness and athleticism ballerinas on stage have, while knowing firsthand how much difficulty and precision are required by them to perform.

Sappy alert, but going to the ballet is not only nostalgic, but it helps me stay connected to that first love I had for it. I get giddy feeling like a little dancer again, listening  along to the iconic soundtrack (shoutout sugarplum fairy, absolute motherrr of the show) 🧚‍♀️ It’s become one of my favorite newer traditions to get me in the holiday spirit.
